Bat shit crazy is one step beyond just plain crazy. It is usually a temporary thing...sparked by something unexpected, or just really awful.
ex: As soon as he saw me humping his mom, he went bat shit crazy.

Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!
I don't really care for Notre Dame, but if you don't shed a tear when Rudy runs out on the field....you are a cold, heartless bastard.
when we finally got a dvd player - we were the last on the planet, i know... first movie we bought was Rudy.
but, we also had a sign over the front door in california that read "play like a champion" for the chitlins to jump and tag as they walked out the door to school every day.
I saw this movie for the 1st time Monday 3/6 my 16 year old son told me I had to watch it. So we sat down together and I cried like a baby. Wonderful story.
that's a good movie. It's on my list of 'sucker' movies. You know... "I'm a sucker for (insert genre here)"
